I am a functional medicine physician in Los Angeles, CA, certified by the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).

Functional medicine is a form of medical practice that focuses on understanding the underlying root causes of health problems and treating the whole person, rather than simply managing symptoms with medication.
After graduating from medical school in India, I came to the United States, where I completed my Internal Medicine Residency at The Ohio State University, followed by my Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at UC San Diego.
I practiced pulmonary and critical care medicine for over 20 years before deciding to expand the scope my of practice. My focus now is to provide medical care that encompasses the whole person, using a systemic approach to provide the most comprehensive care and get to the deepest root cause.
I have been through my own personal health challenges where I searched for years for answers. Because of this, I am especially passionate about helping those who experience chronic health conditions or symptoms, and who are still searching for a diagnosis or treatment. I believe some conditions require an approach that goes beyond conventional western medicine alone; this is why I focus on merging the strengths of both eastern and western medicine in my practice, in order to provide more effective and enduring results for my patients.
Outside the office, I love to spend time outdoors and in nature. Some of my favorite activities include hiking and gardening, which I find to be very grounding. I also enjoy cooking, yoga, and practicing mindfulness, a concept that is evident in my medical practice, as I aspire to be fully present with every patient who comes into my office.
